The word psychology comes from the Greek "psykhe" (psyche), meaning "soul", "spirit", "mind", "life", and "breath"; combined with the Greek word "logos", more often thought of today in the form of "-ology", meaning "the study of". The current discipline and practice of psychology is understood as the study of our inner mental life, and in its original meaning, is literally the study of our soul - our deepest self or essence.

What happens in counselling?
In counselling, we explore the concerns that matter most to you and work toward more effective and empowering ways of thinking, feeling, and relating. Sessions may focus on problem-solving, emotional processing, skill-building, or simply having a safe space to be heard. The approach is collaborative and tailored to your goals, needs, and preferences.
Why attend counselling?
Counselling can support healing from emotional distress and past experiences, improve clarity and self-understanding, strengthen confidence, and provide greater direction in life. You will develop practical tools to navigate challenges with increased resilience and insight.
What can I expect from my therapist?
I offer a respectful, open-minded, and non-judgmental space where you can safely explore your thoughts and emotions. As trust develops, deeper self-awareness and meaningful change become possible. Through reflection and guided exploration, your inner wisdom develops, fostering personal growth and lasting transformation.
